Sylvain Huc et Thiago Granato conçoivent The lost pieces comme une étude chorégraphique fondée sur leur rencontre et leur amitié artistique. Au didactique et à la transparence, ils préfèrent l’opacité et le mystère. Ce duo naît ainsi d’un assemblage fragmentaire de gestes, de matières, d’images, de fantasmes et de rêveries issus de leurs pratiques respectives. À la recherche de « morceaux perdus », disparus ou à inventer, ils explorent les écarts entre leurs écritures, construisent un territoire commun à habiter. Dans un dispositif quadri-frontal, la proximité engage le public dans une expérience intime où l’attention et l’écoute deviennent des matériaux chorégraphiques à part entière. La danse et le mouvement circulent, apparaissent et disparaissent, traversant corps et espace. Invité dans cette circulation, le regard du spectateur est déplacé, sollicité, rendu actif. The lost pieces propose ainsi une expérience sensorielle et perceptive, où la relation et l’attention constituent le cœur même de l’écriture.

​​Sylvain Huc and Thiago Granato conceive The Lost Pieces as a choreographic study rooted in their encounter and artistic friendship. Rejecting didacticism and transparency, they choose opacity and mystery instead. The duet emerges from a fragmentary assembly of gestures, materials, images, fantasies, and reveries drawn from their respective practices. In searching for “lost pieces”, disappeared, unfinished, or yet to be invented, they explore the gaps between their ways of working and gradually shape a shared territory to inhabit. Presented in a quadri-frontal setting, the close proximity draws the audience into an intimate experience where attention and listening become choreographic materials in their own right. Dance and movement circulate, appear, and vanish, passing through bodies and space. Drawn into this circulation, the spectator’s gaze is shifted, activated, and made responsible. The Lost Pieces thus offers a sensory and perceptual experience in which relation and attention form the very core of the piece.
