An exhausting representation, an obsessive quest for meaning, Lex is made up of stalemates and surrenders. It is a mythical as well as a prosaic tale in which the dancer must finally surrender the weapons of his body to obey the laws of the world in which he fails to be the absolute demiurge. Sylvain Huc appears as a derisory gladiator, immense as a giant and as small as a broken man. Lex is his first solo; an exercise in style as well as a radical exploration of his choreographic approach; a test as well as an excuse to reveal a dark and glistening part of the body.
