This piece, fruit of an artistic friendship between Sylvain Huc and Mathilde Olivares, goes beyond the idea of talking about anything other than what happens when this duo works.
We are not talking about the meeting of two artists, two identities or territories. We are simply following the thread of what this meeting has already produced: a form, a language, a profane mystique of movement.
From La vie nouvelle emerges an astonishing intensity that reveals what is not immediately apparent, slowly unveiling itself through the dance. There is always place in what we do and show, as if to leave open the possibility that something will appear, something we haven't planned. This vie nouvelle invites us to immerse ourselves in what is unfolding, to observe our skin, our eyes and the smallest details of our dances like so many landscapes, to take the time to let ourselves be stared at.
